Mom Jeans, Anklets and Glitter

I wore this outfit a few weeks ago now and I loved it. I love the fit of mom jeans, especially paired with a crop top and a nice chunky belt.

I wore this daisy anklet as it's now spring and the changing of the seasons excites me, it means long walks in the park, flowers, and not having to constantly carry a big coat around. And the glittery socks - well how could you say no?

Faux Leather

Meet my current favourite skirt, this white faux leather piece of beautiful-ness. It has a little ruffled bit at the waist which I love and little slits at the side. I've been loving wearing it with a crop top, tights and my new new balance shoes (in love!).

I'd definitely recommend sizing down. Im usually an 8/10 and this is a 6 and fits perfectly. Also can I just mention my love for Velvet Teddy *love heart emoji* - read all about it here.

MAC Haul

Left - Brave, Right - Velvet Teddy

Well well.. a MAC haul, it just had to happen. Sorry bank balance. I've had my eye on the Kylie Jenner lip colours for a long time now but after them being sold out for what seems forever, I could hardly refuse buying them. They were in my basket and bought instantly, no self control whatsoever.

Velvet Teddy - This lipstick is the definition of 'your lips but better'. It's a pink toned nude lipstick with a slight hint of brown that looks so natural. It has a matte finish and therefore is long lasting on the lips.

Brave - I love the colour of this, especially with me being pretty pale its got sort of a plum-tint to it. It has a satin finish which leaves the lips looking slightly glossy. This is perfect when used on top of the Soar liner as it leaves the lips looking very full and luscious.

Soar - This is the liner I use with Brave. It is very pigmented and leaves the lips with such a beautiful colour. It's not too drying so can also be used on its own.

Whats on your MAC wishlist? Are you also a fan of the nude Kylie Jenner look?

Rimmel Brow This Way

Brow This Way is a brow gel that comes in a small tube with a spoolie applicator, priced at £3.99.

I've read quite a few negative reviews about this product but I love it. Admittedly yes, it does hold way too much product on the applicator, but this is easily solved by putting the product on to another brush and combing through the brows. I personally run the product through my brows then use a clean spoolie to run it through, leaving the brows covered perfectly, well defined and set in place for the whole day.

It's very lightweight and doesn't leave a hard or crispy feeling to the brows. This is available in 4 shades, including clear, blonde, mid brown and dark brown.

I use the shade blonde and it matches perfectly. I'm so glad I've found this product it's perfect for my brows, leaving them looking darker and thicker but still very natural.

How did you get on with this product? What is your favourite product for the brows?

2014 In Summary

Before I begin I should probably apologise for the severe lack of posts up in here. I've been working full time and my blog has pretty much taken a back seat as I haven't quite mastered the balancing skill between them both but I am here and aim to post atleast 2 times a week - surely that's manageable?

Anyway, Happy New Year! It's been a good one hasn't it? But hopefully 2015 brings even more good times and opportunities. Thought I would do a little summary of my year to let you get to know a little bit more about me (apologies - photo heavy!).

Nights out in Newcastle / Complete dissertation! / Last meal out as a house before end of uni / Monopoly nights in / Visit to Alnwick Castle / My best friend / Course friends / Visit to Tynemouth Beach / Being silly in the sand

Edinburgh Zoo / View from Arthur's Seat / Me trying to get a picture with the Panda / Penguin Selfie / Penguins :) / Course friends / Panda :) / Me and the boyfriend / Course friends on Arthur's Seat

Graduation Day / Taxi selfie before Graduation Ball / Geography cupcakes / Graduation / Me and the boyfriend / Graduation Ball / Best friend / Cheesy smiles / Getting ready for Graduation Ball

21st Birthday Presents / Being treated to a lovely meal at the Alchemist for my birthday / Snuggles outside in fluffy blanket during drinks / Bolton Abbey / Drinks at the Alchemist / Stepping stones / Bolton Abbey / Me attempting to skim stones (very unsuccessful) / Boyfriend playing football

There we go.. a little insight into my year! It's been tough at times, especially my third year at university - I thought I would never finish my dissertation but I got there in the end. I graduated with a 2:1 and met some of my best friends at university. I went to Edinburgh twice and loved every minute of it and I turned 21 and had a lovely birthday!

Hope you all had a lovely 2014 and may 2015 be even better!

MUA Cover & Conceal in Fair

MUA Cover & Conceal is described as a lightweight cover-up for imperfections, including under-eye circles, spots and blemishes. It is available in three shades - Almond, Fair and Natural and retails at £1.50.

I picked up the shade Fair to use as an under-eye concealer. It comes in a standard lipgloss like tube with a doe-foot applicator, making it very easy to use. It has a creamy lightweight texture that is really blendable and produces a flawless finish. I dab some product onto my under-eye area using the applicator and then use the Real Techniques Contour Brush to blend it in. It gives a dewy finish and leaves my face looking much more awake and fresh. There is sign of creasing and does not cling to dry patches or irritate my eyes. You can pick this up from Superdrug or the MUA website.

What is your favourite budget concealer?

Dogtooth

I've loved the dogtooth pattern for a long time now and recently found the perfect skirt. I found it on depop and had to have it, but it is originally from Missguided. I think it looks perfect teamed with a long sleeved black crop top, chunky boots and a berry lip for autumn.
